I have a Client Security Symantec AntiVirus Version 10.1.5.5000, Scan Engine 81.3.0.13 . My ISP sify.com provided this AntiVirus after I have downloaded the intetned "Sify Broadband" client software.

Symantec AntiVirus Client Version 10.1.5.5000

The above AnitiVirus has an inbuilt LiveUpdate (Symantec Corporation) Version 3.5.0.64 as shown below.  However, the Symantec LIveUpdate failed to update the software showing error LU1814, I have tried all support suggestions but no progress.

LiveUpdate (Symantec Corporation) Version 3.5.0.64

As I click on the error LU1814 it opens a support page and I have tried all its suggestion but still there is no progress.  Finally, I have chatted with live Norton Support Analyst KiranKumar at " chat.symantec.com "  who provided me a case number is 494103706. Then he said,  1) Open up Internet Explorer and then go to www.norton.com/connectme 2) Enter the [Connection Code] 214226 and click on submit. that I did.  He further said, " I can connect to your computer and work to resolve the problem from here, while you sit back and watch.  This is a secure connection, and I won't access any personal information on your computer. If at any point you are concerned, you can disconnect me by clicking on the [End] button. I'd encourage you to view the troubleshooting from your end. Shall we go ahead with the remote connection? "

Symantec Norton Support

I have agreed to his request then acted according to his suggestion,  so as to set up a connection 1. Please click on the link http://www.norton.com/link 2. Enter in the 6 digit pin code 398471 and click [Connect to technician]. I was sitting and watching him work to resolve the problem from there, unfortunately, after some tries he said, " I'm afraid that you've come through to Symantec's Norton Support (for our home user products), and I won't be able to help you. To get the best help possible, please contact Symantec's Enterprise Support. You'll find the contact details you need here: http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/support/assistance_care.jsp  "  I have further visited the URL http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/support/assistance_care.jsp   and found the URL http://www.symantec.com/business/support/overview.jsp?pid=51852 apporpriate for me still then it does not resolve the issue and my problem with LiveUpdate (Symantec Corporation) Version 3.5.0.64 remained unresolved!   Finally, I'm here to post my LiveUpdate (Symantec Corporation) Version 3.5.0.64 updating error in this forum.

Can anyone please help me?

Liveupdate 3.5

If you are truly running Liveupdate 3.5.0.64 then that might be part of your problem as that is intended for consumer products.

Please uninstall Liveupdate 3.5 and download and install Liveupdate 3.3 then try to run liveupdate again and see if it completes.

You can download Liveupdate 3.3 from here:
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/home_homeoffice/products/lu/lu/files.html

Hope that helps!

If you do uninstall/reinstall LiveUpdate...

Then you will  need to go to add/remove programs and "repair" the Symantec Endpoint Protection installation to re-register it with LiveUpdate.

You will need to do the same for any other Symantec products on your system.

If uninstalling and

If uninstalling and reinstalling liveupdate still does not work please post the log.liveupdate from C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Liveupdate folder from that system for review.

Thanks. :-)
