    Hi ,

     

    I have installed symantec endpoint protection client ver11.x in my laptop with windows 7 OS. I received an error "failed to start the symantec management client service error code returned: 0x8007041d". I did the below steps but bo use. Still i got the same error. Please provide solution for this.

     Un-install SEP from Add/Remove Programs.
    delete the folders
    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec

    Reboot your computer then re-install SEP.

    Can you tell us what version of SEP 11 you installed. Only RU5 and above is supported on Win7 OS. The latest version available is RU7 MP1.

    After Following the above mentioned steps did you reinstalled the product again and getting the same error while starting the symantec management client service.

    But what makes you to start or restart the symantec management client service???
