Error message when saving changes to tickets
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 4 comments
All of our helpdesk users are getting the same error message from time to time while saving chnages to tickets. "Data store not found. The system has detected that the application was restarted on the server (the service was resarted or the server was rebooted"
"To restart you last command click here
To go to your home command click here"
By selecting any of the option to return back all of your editing is gone.
Does anyone know where to begin looking on this one? I am kind of the Altiris guy at my company since our regular guy left and am starting to see this more and more that its becoming an issue with the helpdesk team. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have found that this
I have found that this happens when you try to issue any commands while the server is still performing the previous command. If you try to anything (click any other links) while the page is still loading, you will receive this error.
web app
Exactly like djcampbell_UPTA said, you'll definitely want to watch the double clicking on incidents and the back button. That's the most frequent cause of that error.

Helpdesk error
Thats the strange part, it happens to me also, usually when I am saving a ticket after just clicking the save button once. I have restarted IIS service on the Altiris server and it seem like the helpdesk is running faster in IE. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks for your feedback!
Just out of curiosity which
Just out of curiosity which version of IE are you using?
