We trying to upload windows 8 and 8.1 souce files in Deployment solution 7.6 OS Files but it giving error that Error Occured while uploading files.

I found one article TECH216785 but still there is no change.

Problem is, the original Windows 8 and 8.1 sources\sxs folder contains files with very long names and together with the package path they exceed the maximum length allowed.

I tried to fixed it using a sources folder without sxs subfolder and copied it to the package via NSCAP share later but again while copying sxs folder it giving error for maximum length file name issue.

What about to map this shared folder location as network drive with single letter in name and use it?

Did you ask support about this case?

I used the Resource import tool (altiris\Deployment\Tools\ResourceImportTool.exe) as this was failing on a remote machine.
