This issue has been solved. See solution.

I receive the following error when attempting to rebuild a single person's index:

There has been an error in processing your request. Please try again later.
Reason: Unspecifed error

The index is marked as status Normal but my Discovery Accelerator keeps coming up with errors when attempting to search this mailbox archive for information.

There is nothing ever written in the Enterprise Vault event log either.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Mkimler Did you start with a

Mkimler

Did you start with a clean, fresh index? (aka Deleted the user's Index folder?)
Does the same happen when you search that user's Archive from the EV Search instead of DA?

Cheers

I was able to resolve this

I was able to resolve this issue by restarting the EV services on that server. The index is now rebuilding for that user.

Interestingly enough, there were no events logged when I attempted to rebuild that index. I also don't see errors in relation to the indexing service prior to restarting the services. However, when the index service was finally stopped, it logged the following event:

The Indexing service had to terminate an unresponsive IndexServer
Index: 1572D24557B98E14CA3BC0FF418CBF8561110000evsite/VolumeSet:2828
PID: 22156

So I am assuming that it was indeed hung up on something but wasn't logging it.

Thank you for all of your help guys.
