Error in retrieving the archived file during EV backup ?

Hi,

Why is that when the EV server is currently under full backup, the following always occurs:

1. Users are unable to access archived file from the file server through WIndows explorer

2. Users are unable to retrieve the archived emails from Outlook

3. the indexer drive is always failed to be backed up ?

Those statements need some context.

How are you putting EV into 'backup mode'?

What version of EV?

Then specifically..

1/ This should still work

2/ This should still work

3/ This should not be the case.. and how does it fail?

Ah, you are right, the pre-backup mode script is not executed in the EV backup job, I guess that is why it cause the failure of the backup job.
