Ghost Solution Suite

Hello all -

I have Ghost SS 2.0 and I'm trying to clone an image of Windows Vista Business. I installed the console client on the machine and I'm able to see the machine that I want to take the image from in the Ghost console. I followed the exact steps given in the tutorial on how to create a vista image. However when I try to execute the task it gives me an error of - "The file system for this client's Virtual Partition could not be created or mounted." Any ideas on why I'm getting this error? Thanks in advance.

how many partitions you have on your client machine? if it has 4 partitions, virtual partition can not be created.

there is only 1 partition and vista is installed on it.

We just experienced the same problem and found out that it had to do with the driver template. You may need to modify it. There is a preset list that you can choose from. We ended up having to create a new template based upon the COM driver that we had.

Did you try with UNDI driver? which network template did you use before?

it recognizes the NIC on the machine as a Broadcom 57x - so it uses that default template.
