On the client computer, getting the error as Error VP SHELLRES.DLL is missing .... Any Idea
Have you tried running a repair on the client? What version?
Client version is - 12.1.6867.6400
This started after updaing some policies on the manager
SHELLRES.DLL is the right-click - scan for viruses context menu, not sure if changing policies would affect this.
Try running a repair on the client first. You may also want to run the symdiag tool on it for additional error checking:

Found that the Group was somehow corrupted, so created a new group and moved the clients to the new group and that fixed.
