    Hi All,

        I hope this will be a quick solution. I am receiving a "An error was returned from the handler for this task." message when I am trying to run a task/job that contains simple DOS commands. I do not receive any errors when I run a task/job that contains a Quick Software Delivery element. This is happening on existing and new tasks/jobs with DOS commands and with machines we have run the tasks/jobs on previously and new machines we have not run it on. I noticed this starting happening after we upgraded to Altiris Notification Server 7.0 SP5 a few days ago.

       I ran across a post that suggested to make sure that all Task Servers are up to date and low and behold, both of ours are showing different Altiris Client Task Server Agent versions. Do I simply run "TaskServerSetup.exe -a /ALL:a /quiet REBOOT=ReallySuppress" on the out of date Task Server?

    Task Server Info:

    Main NS - Altiris Client Task Server Agent - 7.0.8641

    Standalone Altiris Client Task Server Agent - 7.0.7416

     

    DOS Commands:

    cd\

    cd "documents and settings\all users\desktop"

    del "realplayer.lnk"

     

       Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
