  • 1.  Error when executing RAAD 7.5.3153

    Everytime I try to execute RAAD 7.5.3153 I receive the following popup error (can also be seen in the attached .jpg file):

    In order to use this application please make sure the Altiris Agent is installed on your host machine

     

    I have the Altiris Agent installed on my workstation.  Previous version of RAAD, 7.5.1670 works just fine.  I'm trying to execute this from local folder in which both the .exe and .dll reside.

    Anyone with any thoughts?

    What version of Altiris Agent you have on workstation? Is it 7.5 with some Hotfix-level patching or 7.5 SP1?

    Actually, we haven't upgraded our workstations to 7.5 yet, so it's still using NS 6.0.2430.  Only our servers have been upgraded to 7.5sp1.  However, others in my group can use RAAD 7.5.3153 and they are setup the same as I using 6.0.2430 agent.

    Well, this is strange to learn that RAAD 7.5.3153 is working somewhere on top of NS 6.0.2430.

    Officially both RAAD 7.5 updates (1670 and 3153) are certified only for 7.5 or 7.5 SP1 environments. For pre-7.5 releases RAAD v.2.1.24 (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO21449) should be used.
