Software Agent plugin error while deploy the software on systems using altiris?

Can you share error screen shot ?

How to check it?

where this option available in client?

hello,

You can check Software Management Solution Plugin folder are available or not

C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents

Other way

You can view Altiris Agents GUI ->About ->Installed Agents/Plug-ins under you can found all plu-in installed list.

Hi,

To check licence you can go to SIM where you will find the licence details and

To check plugin install in client 

>open symantec management client >goto About tab you will find installed agents/plugin.

If you have package server then please check it is accessible from clients or not.

open the required port

Usually Software Update Plug-in is rolled out to clients where Symantec Management Agent is installed using policy (Notification Server Console > All settings > Agents/Plug-ins > Software > Patch Management > Software Update Plug-in Install). In this case package with Software Update Plug-in will be distributed to target computers and then installed.

If you want to distribute Software Update Plug-in using another way, you can find installation files at the following location(in case if Patch Management Solution is installed on your NS): "...\Altiris\Patch Management\Packages\Windows Agent\"

You can check the required port is open from firewall (If you are using the package server)
