  • 1.  Error while Installing Cloud Agent SEP 2013

    Posted Sep 25, 2014 09:19 AM

    Hi,

I deploy SEP 2013 by GPO. It works fine for some computer where as for this others it doesn't work.

In the symantec log message of these computers, I can see the error "One of the support libraries required for this Installation is unavailable"?

Running the exe of the installer manually generate the same error.....

Have you an idea of the name of the support  libraries that the symantec cloud agent need in order to install on a computer?

    Best Regards,

And after you've worked with support, could you please update this thread with the solution they arrived at?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The error was due to a failed installation, cause of a corrupt symredistributable.exe file.

    So the DLL of :

    - C:\ProgramData\Symantec.cloud\ISL\1000\PASupportlibrary.dll

    -C:\ProgramData\Symantec.cloud\ISL\6000\HESupportlibrary.dll

    Was eqally corrupted (size 0kb).

    The solution :

    Donwload a new symredistributable.exe

Manually make the installation on a new computer.

Replace the 2 dll files, taking them on thecomputer were the installation have worked.

You will note that removing these file don't solve the problem, beacause the installer don't update the corrupted file during the installation.

    Best regards,
