Created: 04 Sep 2010 • Updated: 08 Sep 2010 | 2 comments

Hi ,

While installing  SymantecScanEngine_5.2.5 on red hat linux machine i am getting following error:

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077294: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077297: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077300: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077303: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077306: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077309: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077312: /bin/java: No such file or directory

./ScanEngine.sh: line 3077392: /bin/java: No such file or directory

While installing it did not ask for java base.

/usr/bin/java is pointed to  /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_21/jre/bin/java

Inside jre/lib i386 folder is not present instead ahmd64 is present, is that a problem?

Thanks and Regards,
minal

If this is for Red Hat 5 64bit OS then you need Symantec Scan Engine 5.2.6

Thanks for the reply.

I installed jre for 32 bit Linux and it solved the problem when i used silent installation.

Thanks and regards,
