Hi,

EV 10.0.3

We want to apply different archiving policy on a specific folder under inbox.

Wyat is the EVPM ini file should be?

We have a folder called "Alerts" under Inbox. We want archiving policy anything older than 2 weeks. Our default archiving policy is older than 6 months.

Many Thanks

You should be able to adapt this:

[Directory]
DirectoryComputerName = EV1
SiteName = EVSite

[Filter]
Name = FilterA
CreateShortcut = true
DeleteOriginal = true
UnreadMail = true
UseInactivityPeriod = true
InactivityUnits = days
InactivityPeriod = 3

[Mailbox]
DistinguishedName = /o=EV/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=mytestuser
DistinguishedName = /o=EV/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=my2ndtestuser

[Folder]
Name = 5Years
FilterName = filterA
NonDeletable = True
RetentionCategory = 5 years
OverrideArchiveLocks = true

You will specify the name of the folder just like you have written it, \Inbox\Alerts as long as it is under the inbox.

You can have multiple folders and filters, just create another folder and\or filter section, like this

[Directory]
DirectoryComputerName = EV1
SiteName = EVSite

[Filter]
Name = Filter1
CreateShortcut = true
DeleteOriginal = true
UnreadMail = true
UseInactivityPeriod = true
InactivityUnits = days
InactivityPeriod = 14

[Filter]
Name = Filter2
CreateShortcut = true
DeleteOriginal = true
UnreadMail = true
UseInactivityPeriod = true
InactivityUnits = days
InactivityPeriod = 30

[Mailbox]
DistinguishedName = /o=EV/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=mytestuser
DistinguishedName = /o=EV/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=my2ndtestuser

[Folder]
Name = \Inbox\Alerts
FilterName = filter1
NonDeletable = True
OverrideArchiveLocks = true

[Folder]
Name = \Inbox\Folder2
FilterName = filter2
NonDeletable = True
OverrideArchiveLocks = true

Well you would put:

[Folder]
Name = \Inbox\XYZ
FilterName = filterA
NonDeletable = True
RetentionCategory = 5 years
OverrideArchiveLocks = true

[Folder]

Name = \Inbox\ABC
FilterName = filterA
NonDeletable = True
RetentionCategory = 5 years
OverrideArchiveLocks = true

In other words, put the path to the folder... and repeat the [folder] entry ...
