Windows Server 2008 x64 edition (using WOW64) is supported.

You could not have looked hard, as this was already coverd just today.... Try using the search function, or google "enterprise vault support matrix" you will see the first link you get is your answer....

Windows Server 2008

R2 (!!!!!)  is still PENDING CERTIFICATION.

You should read more carefully.

That document was published on November 5, 2009 so 4 days ago... So the answer is clean NO IT IS NOT it is still pending. Quite simple to me......

What is hard about that to understand?

Bear in mind, the IIS in Windows 2008 R2 is actually IIS 7.5 where R1 is 7.0  so pretty much anything hooked into IIS like EV or Exchange will have to go through retesting and possibly recoding.

What I find facinating though is that they at least listed R2, but nothing about Windows 7 clients or Exchange 2010.
