My client running EV10 server, their user will use OWA to check mail, IE10 users find out that cannot run archive and restore function in OWA, as the compatibility chart, I know IE10 support compatibilty view only, I tried that and temporaily fix the problem, but the client want to automatically enable compatibilty view when connect to OWA. do anyone know how to do it ? Thanks

You can add the website under Compatibility view setting.

Tools-> Compatibility view settings- Click on ADD and add the URL for the website which you would want to access in compatibility mode.

Hi there,

Its more of IE setting, you can refer following MSDN blog post to add your OWA URL in Compatibility view list either through GPO and direct registry change.

I hope this helps..

Just a note from my experience. When you use group policy to add a site to compatibility view, it removes any sites that the users have manually added to the compatibility view settings in IE. I'm not sure what happens if you modify it via reg key directly, but I would expect a similar behavior. My workaround for a similar situation was to use the Enterprise Vault Desktop Policy/Advanced Tab/Outlook/Add sites to local intranet zone. I then added all of the sites I wanted in there. I believe that by default, IE 10 displays all Intranet Sites in compatibility view. Since it sounds like you may not be deploying the EV outlook add-in, you might look into group policy to add sites to the intranet zone instead of modifying the compatibility view settings which could wipe out what users have already added.
