EV Reports discrepancy

Hello all,

I have a discrepancy between two reports and I was hoping you could maybe shed some light on the issue for me. EV implementation being used for FSA only. The Vault store usage summary report shows a different number of total items (3779599) than the FSA: File Space Usage by File Group on a Specified File Server report shows (3798323) under the Number of Archived Files column. It's a large discrepancy.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks,

I wonder if it is the usage report counts zip, rar's, etc.. as one file but the report counts the indvidual files inside the zip.

Cheers Tony,

That might be the case. I might try to test this in my lab.

Hi,

Vault Store Usage Summary report
Total Items: The total number of items in the vault store.

File Group Space Usage on a Server report
Number of Archived Files : The number of files of this file group that have been archived.

1. Could you please check the "Storage Summary" Report belongs to "Data Analysis Reports" and check the "Number of Archived Files" and check the value.

2. How many FIle Servers are you using for archiving ?

3. In the File Group Space Usage on a Server report report have you selected correct name of file server as "Server Name" Field.

Thanks,

Ajay

Thanks Ajay,

1. I don't understand what you're saying on this one. It might be that I haven't had enough/had too much coffee today. Can you rephrase?

2. Just the one server.

3. There's only the one server at the moment so yes.

Cheers.
