This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello all,

EV servers still on EV90SP4R1. Outlook 2013, newly installed EV10SP4 client.

When in Outlook, you forward an not yet archived item, it shows the mail to be forwarded in the preview pane, with the added lines to add recipients etc.

If you forward an archived item, a new window opens to forward the (archived) mail.

Is that as expected? Or is that a setting on the policy/client?

Thanks

Gertjan

AFAIK it is expected.  The archived item has to be restored to a temporary PST file, and then displayed to you, with the 'forward' form.

Not as far as I know, but when you think about it makes sense. The behaviour (retrieval to temp pst) hasn't changed, but the way that Outlook 2013 *can* respond to replies and forwards is different than previous Outlook versions.. right?

Hi Rob,

Yes. I agree and understand. It is however the customer that says:
Forwarding in Outlook 2013 works like this, why is it different for the EV-plugin, should that not use Outlook rules...

I'll make up a nice explanatory story on this tomorrow.

Thanks!

GJ

You/customer would need to raise the issue with Support. But it might not be something that can be changed easily.
