I am having a problem with user profiles not deleting when logging off Windows 2008 Server R2 machines running Symantec Endpoint Protection and Citrix. Event ID 1533 is showing in Event Viewer. Is there a resolution to this? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Have you seen the best practice?

Best Practices for Symantec Endpoint Protection on Citrix and Terminal Servers

Also, what components are in use and what version of SEP?

Yes, I have viewed best practices but there is no resolution there. We are running SEP 12.1.4. This user profile non-deletion is occuring on all our 2008 Servers right now.

Seems like maybe auto-protect is keeping them locked and not allowing the deletion. Was this an issue before 12.1.4?

Not as far as I can tell, it seems to have started occuring starting a few weeks ago

I checked the fix notes for the latest version 12.1 RU4 MP1, but didn't see anything related to this.

If you can easily reproduce it, I would place a call to support.

Maybe as a test, temporarily disable auto-protect and see what the result...just to see if auto protect is the culprit
