EVSERVICE account on Exchange Server

Hello,

We're using EV7.5 and Exchange 2003. We recently created a new Exchange server and migrated all the users to it. We did this to migrate from physical to virtual. We have one account left to move and I'd like to know if anything special needs to be done. The EVSERVICE account that runs on the Enterprise Vault server also has an e-mail account. This account has full access to all users on the Exchange server. When moving this user to the new server are there any considerations to be aware of?

Thanks,
Perry

I see nothing stopping you.

I see nothing stopping you. EV doesn't use the service account's mailbox for anything. In our environment it's not even mail enabled. Mailboxes for the exchange archiving tasks are a different story.

For Exchange 2003 the EV

For Exchange 2003 the EV Service account just needs 'Send As' and 'Receive As' on the mailbox on the Exchnage Server. That one mailbox does not need to be moved for anything to work, but a System mailbox does need to be created if it hasn't already. Besides making sure permissions are correct nothing needs to be done prior to moving that mailbox.
