  • 1.  Exceeding Endpoint Prevent Licenses

    Dear All,

    We have exceeded the Endpoint Prevent Licenses what had been purchased. I can see all agents reporting to the Endpoint Servers.

    As for now I cannot see any problem with the DLP but i need to know anything that may happen after onr exceeds the licenses.

     technically speaking there is no impact. But contractually speaking, you must buy more licenses   (especially now that you declare it in a symantec forum :) )

    Does it impact/limit the technical support provided by Symantec..?

    Not in the fact that you can no longer call Symantec for issues.  However they might talk about it during a support session.  When your renewal is up you need to true up your licenses.

    That being said do you truly have over the limit in your license count or do you have Endpoints that are no longer valid/communicating with the server in your system?  Might want to clean things up.  Its a manual process but needs to be done.
