     Hi all,

I am having an issue on a device, the excel 2010 (pro plus) would crash or freeze when saving a document on local HDD,even is a blank new document.  The device inforamtion is as following, win 8.1 Pro, Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.5 managerd client, MS office 2010 Pro Plus SP1-----64 bit.

After a few tests, I found an interesting thing that if I disable the symantec client, it could be saved as normal. If I enable again, it will be freezed again.

Any one have idea on it, I have tried reinstall Office , symantec client, run in safe mode of Excel, none of the above work.

Have you temporarily disabled the AV component to see if it is the cause?

Since you can easily re-produce, open a support case (since you're on the latest version). You will need to enable advanced logging for them to review and start the troubleshooting process.
