Exceptions for Sav scan

Created: 14 Jul 2013 • Updated: 16 Jul 2013 | 5 comments

Hello,

I have installed sav and I did all configuration that we need but one thing we couldn't find how we do it, we want that the sav will not scan NAS's. we can do exceptions for each NAS but if it will be a new NAS than we must go over all servers that have installed sav on and release a new configuration but we want to configure from the begining that the sav will not scan NAS's.

Can Somebody help?

Is it a mapped share?

SAV is EOL, install SEP on the client and set the password to scan the mapped drive or configure the scan policy accordingly.

Isn't there an option to exclude network drives from scans?

This forum section is for the Symantec Scan/Protection Engine specifically which can Scan some NAS devices if the NAS devices support the use of a AntiVirus service/server/engine.

SAV for Linux is not the same product and as you are using SAV for linux I am moving this thread for better visiblity.
