Exchange 2007 Mailbox restore
This issue has been solved. See solution.
I have the need to restore an Exchange 2007 mailbox, but I am unsure if if I can restore while the user is using the outlook client. Does anyone know if this can be done with no impact to the user?
Thank You.

little impact
of cos there will be a slight impact on the user's mail box.
yes and yes
You can restore to a recovery storage group, then use exmerge on a 2003 server and make a pst out of, put the pst where the user can see it, they go through it and find what they are looking for and move it to their real mail box. Just remember to have the disconnect and close outlook so you can remove that pst ( don't want those big files hanging around)
or merge it back into their live mail box - they most likely will not notice anything except missing items reappearing.
I don't have to know how to spell....I work on Unix.
In this case I am restoreing
In this case I am restoreing an individaual mailbox and do not have to create a RSG. I think I found may answer. Restored my own mailbox which is about 150mb and while the resote was occuring I was able to use my outlook client to send and recive new messages. So, it appears that an individaual mailbox restore does not impact the user.
