Can somebody tell me if Netbackup is supported with Exchange 2013 running any of its Cumulative Updates?

I need to update Exchange, ideally to CU3 but cant get a definitive answer as to wheteher netbackup is supported. Ideally, I want to know if I can backup and restore successfully. I understand that GRT is not supported but have a workaround for this

The only information we have is documented in NetBackup 7 Application/Database Agent (CL):

For roadmap info, best to get hold of NBU Product Management via your local Symantec reseller or SE.

What we do know is that Symantec will include new features in the latest version (7.6.0.x) and only bug fixes in previous versions (7.5.0.x and earlier).

So, you may want to upgrade to in the meantime and subscribe to TECH126904 so that you will receive notification when doc gets updated.

Sorry I'm late to this thread!

Yes, all cumulative updates are supported.  (I guess CUs are different from Service Packs, which we DO explicitly list out in the CL.  We don't list CUs at all.)

So in the case of Exchange 2013, all CUs would be supported from

CU3 would be ideal, because there's a Tech Alert out for a known issue with some backups with CU1 and CU2:

In NetBackup, some Exchange 2013 CU1 or CU2 backups may appear to succeed, but restore attempts fail.

Although (and 7.6.0.x) work around the issue, Microsoft resolved their issue in CU3:

Event 2112 or 2180 is logged when you try to back up a database in an Exchange Server 2013 environment
