Please verify this link and enabling snapshot (if nt done already)and try the backup

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...

Launch NetBackup Administration Console, go to Policies, and double click the Exchange backup policy. On the Attributes tab, ensure Perform snapshot backups is checked.

Exchange Server 2010 no longer supports legacy streaming backup, hence the requirement to enable snapshot option.

If snapshot is already enabled and issue dint resolve please provide us more details as Nagalla suggested.

Please show us your backup policy. On the master server, run this command:

bppllist policy-name  -L

Also tell us if you have standalone Exchange or DAG.

I think sri vani is right.  Another recent technote says the same.

As Marianne requests, please provide output of command:

  bppllist database  -L

Will Restore -- where there is a Will there is a way

I think wr meant 'policy-name'.
We really need to see your policy configuration.

Happy New Year!

BTW, I used policy name database as that is what ammar's screenshot showed, though that is an unusual name for MS-Exchange backup.
