Exchange Backup Failed..

Hi Team,

    We are using BE 12.5. Last 3 days our Exchange backup got failed. Please find the below error.


           Backup- \\Servername\Microsoft Information Store\Fourth Storage Group
Catalog Error V-79-10000-10660 - An error was encountered writing to the on-disk catalogs. A synthetic backup of this resource will not include the data backed up by this operation until the next full or incremental backup of this resource runs.

Please provide a solution to fix the issue. We are running daily full backup of exchange server. We have Four Storage Groups on the server.

Check your drive that BE/BE catalogs folder is installed on and make sure it isn't out of space. The TN below references the BEDB, but the theory behind it would still apply if you are out of disk space:

    I have checked the drive, which is catalog stored on the server. there is free space available in MB... i cleared some free space upto 3 GB. Now it's working fine. 

In the same time other backup jobs are completed successfully. that time also free space available in MB..

Can any one provide the reason for this.....????

In addition to craig...if there is sufficient disk space on drive where u have catalogs than stop backup exec services and rename old catalogs folder to catalogs.old create a new catalogs folder in same place, restart backup exec services and retry the back up job...
