Exchange Mailbox Archiving - Event 3402
Hi to everyone on Connect! I hope somebody can help?
I am setting up a pilot installation of Enterpise Vault 8.0 SP4 and most functions seem to be working except the automatic exchange mailbox archiving task.
(Windows 2008 SP2 x64 EV Server OS, Windows 2008 x64 DC's)
After the task runs there is an event in eventvwr for each of the enabled mailboxes:
Cannot process the mailbox until it has been re-provisioned.
Legacy DN: XXXXXX
The mailboxes provision with no errors.
Exchange Journal Archiving is works and mail is archived from a mailbox on user request (using Outlook Add-in). The deployment scanner reports no relevent issues.
I'm hoping that sombody can point me in the right direction. If any further information is need please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Andy

Update
Hi,
Thanks for the link. I saw the article before and I have checked everything again:
- The EV installation has got a GC server specified
- There seem to be no issues with communications to both the GC DC and another DC. Both servers are not stressed.
- I've checked the permissions on the EV Service account as defined in the installation guide and everything seems in order.
I've carried out a trace on the Exchange Archiving task and here is a section where the failure occurs, maybe somebody could make sense of it?

Other things I've tried:
Logged into Outlook mailbox for an enabled as the EV Service Account user and checked that it can access the mailbox and send&receive - This is ok.
Moved a user into the standard AD users folder just in case something in the DN was causing a problem - This made no difference.
I suspect it might be something to do with the LegacyDN as EV seems to use this rather than the proper DN, this does not match the exchange organisation/admin group names... does anyone know if this could cause a problem with EV.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
