Exchange Policy Changes

Created: 10 Mar 2010 • Updated: 22 May 2010 | 3 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.

Recently I upgraded NetBackup from 6.5.3 to 6.5.5.

In my Exchange Policy, under the Backup Selections tab, I used to be able to click on New, Change and/or Insert and have the ability to add a pathname or directive including New_Stream.

Now, when I click on New, Change and/or Insert, all I get is a Select Component Database window and the only selection is the ability to check Information Store and/or Directory.

Why can I not add a New_Stream or simply type in my own information store anymore?  Any way to perform this function?  I need to make changes to my existing policy and whether I am trying to make changes or set up a new policy, I do not have the ability to add a pathname or directive.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

from the command line?

I just tried it on one of my exchange policies, and if you execute bpadm, then browse to the exchange policy you want, and then choose "FIle List Management", then modify, it will let you modify the list to anything you would like.

I tried it from Windows Remote Admin console
When I click new I get the option to choose folder (where I can select a store) or the hand where I can choose New Stream.

I also did it from the java (jnbSA) on my unix master, and clicked new and opened a window where I can select path name or directive (new stream or store)

I don't have to know how to spell....I work on Unix.
