  • 1.  Exclude Subnets for Altiris Agent Push

    When scheduling Altiris Agent pushes, is it possible to exclude a list of subnets so the machines at these locations won't get the client?  We have PCs in certain remote locations where they're old/underpowered and whose network connections are on slow DSL links.  Would be nice if I could specify subnets to avoid during the agent push although don't readily see a way to do this.

    Maybe try to create a custom filter(s) with SQL Query which includes only required computers from required sub-nets only?

    Also you could create a filter with SQL Query which includes computers you like to exclude from Agent Push target and configure a new target using your custom filter.

    1) On the Scheduled Push, click X to remove the default target;

    2) Select Apply To -> Resources

    3) Configure the new target like this:

    Exclude resources not in Filter Windows Computers with Windows Computers with no Symantec Management Agent Installed

    Exclude resources in Filter Remote Computers (the custom filter you've created)

    If you need help to develop the filter's SQL Query, please let us know.
