    Dear all,

Some MS excel and word files were mistakenly identified as executable files by the messaging gateway. We have removed .bin extension from the attachment list and unfortunately it's doesn't help. Is there anything we can do? Our version is 10.5.3-4.

    Thanks in advance.

Dear  , You have to find out which file is being reported by SMG . As a matter of fact , the XLSX format is itself a Zip file . I will suggest to rename the  excel sheet to ZIP , extract the contacts and there you can find the file which is causing the Problem . Mostly its printer settings .

Check this article for more details .

    Dear Subhani,

Thanks for the reply. Basically they are xls or doc files and I found out that there are macros inside.

So i'm looking for a solution to allow macro embedded in xls or doc in SMG.

I followed you 2nd link to rely on true file typing but it doesn't work.
