  • 1.  Execute Patch Scanning via command line (Windows Assessment Scan - NS 7)

Is there a way to execute a patch scan remotely? It would seem that you would execute this: "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\{6D417916-467C-46A7-A870-6D86D9345B61}\cache\AexPatchAssessment.exe" ...but every time I execute that remotely, it returns an Error -3. If I run it locally, it seems to kick off just fine. Help?

Didn't run for me either. maybe that is the way it is set up to run. Anyways, it runs every 4 hours by default. You may change the interval in the server.

We like to fire off the patch cycle and have it run a full assesment scan afterwards.  It appears that if you run:   AeXPatchUtil.exe /I /q    it seems to kick it off and work for most of our machines.

Yes, use of AeXPatchUtil is the official way for manual patch cycle (or assessment) execution.

Starting from 7.1 SP1 there is also a task in Console that you can use to get assessment data immidiately.
