Exit Code 1603 with Event ID 1013 and source MSIINSTALLER

    I was Installing BPA agent through Altiris but getting Failed with Exit Code 1603.
    Log says:
    Error during preprocessing.  Installation terminated.
    Action ended 05:36:24: _WSM_PreProcFailure. Return value 3.
    Action ended 05:36:24: INSTALL. Return value 3.
    MSI (s) (D8:A8) [05:36:24:174]: Product: Vendor Setup Wrapper -- Installation failed.

    What is the BPA agent?

    Msi code 1603 is a fairly generic error code produced by msiexec.  Have you forced a reboot before the install to make sure msiexec isn't being corrupted by a prior install?
