This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi,

Our clients' Brightmail Gateway is about to expire and we're in the process of renewing the license for the product.
We'll probably have between 1 to 2 months before the new license is acquired and uploaded.
Will we still be protected during that time and what features will stop working?

Thanks.

There is a 60-day grace

There is a typically a 30-day grace period for virus detection and spam detection.

For Symantec Brightmail

For Symantec Brightmail Gateway, the grace period is 30 days.  The UI will provide warnings during this grace period, but will stop filtering email after the grace period has expired.

When you say stop filtering,

When you say stop filtering, does it mean that every inbound email will go in?
I was hoping for some of the custom policies, the one I've created, to remain active.
