Explorer freezes when entering a folder with SEP extracted packages

Not a very big issue, but this is strange. I have 3 different SEP installation packages extracted in one folder (single EXE). Every first time after system boot i open that folder in XP, it takes a minute or more to draw the icons of those packages and until that Explorer is nearly unresponsive and i have to sit and wait. This happens also on a PC without any antivirus software, so it's not SEP scanning these packages. Really weird. Maybe they are packaged in some unusual way.

Are you using the latest XP

Are you using the latest XP service pack?

Are these files stored on a network share?

Are there any Windows event errors generated when you experience this behavior?

Yes. The files are on the network share. XP is SP3 up to date. I think i'll leave it as is. Don't want to mess with the registry.

To get rid off it u will have to play with Network shares as suggested by Cycltech.
