Does anyone know of a way to export the configuration of the console? I have made a number of setting changes after a fresh 7.1 Install and would like to back these up periodically without doing a full server backup. Is there an existing API or powershell or anything for this?

Not sure about automating some intermediate export, theres a lot of gui to go through to get an export, perhaps autoit could do it, but personally i've always gotten where i want by exporting from the right click menu. It takes almost no time at all.Let me know if its something that wont handle that?

    I agree with Michael,

Right click on Settings folders & export as XML does the trick for me.

From my experience, I do it folder by folder & not from the root "Settings" folder, because I experienced issues when trying to re-import that "full export" - and never had any issue re-importing peace by peace.

Regular backups of the database will take care of your console items.

Backing up the registry and CoreSettings.config file should take care of the rest.

Excellent info guys. I think this is just what I was looking for. I was wondering if the piecemeal menu export would do the trick. Between that and the CoreSettings.Config I think I have what I'm looking for.
