I am simply trying to export a simple WDE Activity report.  I put in my email address to get the report but it always fails.  The mail queue states "connect to XXXX.XXXXX.net[XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX]: connection refused".  I see no data regarding this in any of the logs other than the admin log providing the following:

WDE Activity report retrieval email to XXX.XXX@XXX.com  Fri Jan 31, 2014 at 7:31:01 AM -08:00
WDE Activity report is generated and saved to:1391182261806

Really the ONLY thing I want here is the report.  I don't care if I get system generated emails functioning or not, to be honest.  Is there any way to get these reports without having them emailed?  If not, how do I fix this issue?

PGP Universal Server Version:  3.2.1 MP5 (Build 5033)

Hi CSI Support, Probably the mail server is not configured to allow mail relay from the PGP Universal Server. Please contact the administrator of your mail server. Meanwhile, check this article, which I believe it may help: Unable to Export Large Amount of Reporting Data - TECH149839 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149839 Rgs, dcats

Note that the report runs in the background so the server can process higher priority things like email, key request, enrollments, client check ins, etc.  When the report is done, the server tries to email it to the email address specified in your administor account profile.  If the destination mail server rejects the email, I agree with dcats that the mail server probably does not allow email from your encryption server, and perhaps that can be changed on the email server.

Where do I configure on the PGP server where to relay the email through?  I took a look at the postfix settings and didn't see anything obvious, but I'm not experienced with that at all.  There is an on-premesis mail relay we use to then forward to O365.

This server is not configured to deal with mail and the only mail that goes through it are the reports it generates.

    Hi CSI Support,

There is a workaround to retrive WDE Activity Report which you can addopt in your particular case even if your server is misconfigured becuase your logs stated as follow:

WDE Activity report is generated and saved to:1391182261806

You need to see this information in the logs which means that report has been generated and ID is provided. Without this information logs are not generated and troubleshooting is needed.

    1. Logon to your server via SSH

    2. Navigate to the following folder /var/lib/ovid/reports

    cd /var/lib/ovid/reports

    3. You will find there files like WDEActivitReport**NUMBER**

in your case it should be the fie WDEActivitReport1391182261806.csv

    4. Open the browser and use the following link

    https://your.domain.com:9000/omc/GetWDEActivityReportDownloadScreen.event?fileName=**NUMBER**

amend your.domain.com providing your domain and for the **NUMBER** use your 1391182261806

    https://keys.domain.com:9000/omc/GetWDEActivityReportDownloadScreen.event?fileName=1391182261806

Attaching 2 screenshoots of the link and files.

    Hi CSI Support,

Please configure the Mail Route: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149370
I believe this is what is missing in your environment.

    Rgs,
    dcats

PS: Of course that the mail server must be configured to accept to relay the email from the PGP server.
