This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello -

We are using DS 6.9 SP2. We recently found out that our DNS suffix's need to be changed on our images. Is there a way to make that change using Image Explorer rather than downloading all our images, updating them and re-uploading? I found instructions for DS 6.1 & 6.5, but no instructions for DS 6.9.

Thank you,
Ann

Ann, The process for 6.9 is

Ann,

The process for 6.9 is the same.  Extract the hive from the image, then load it into a machine with the same operating system and service pack level.  Make changes to the necessary keys, then unload the hive and copy the file back into the image.

I'm guessing this is the KB article you found - it is still valid.  https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=2584&p=1

Temp Work Around

Becasue we have release management, change control and audit over the image revision or release, we use the work around befoer we can revise the image.

We added "Modify Configuration" job with new suffix right after "Distribute Disk Image".

It buys us more relaxing days to work on new images.
