What you have shown is not an error with SCSP but the dialog box when you run msiexec (or msiexec with incorrect paramaters).

Why are you running msiexec? The SCSP windows installation is agent.exe

The question is then, how are you installing SCSP?

    As Xeno stated,

It seems you are running just the MSI package via maybe SMS? This is not the correct way to install the agent application. Agent.exe with its various switches (including silent install) is the standard installation method.

    Hi Wandi,

As per the installation guide, manual installation is normal. What you need to verify is if the same installation package successfully runs on other servers. If so, then you have confirmed there is nothing wrong with the installation package or method of installation.

What this will indicate is that the problem is environmental. For example, you may need to reinstall the windows installer due to possible corruption. This really is harder to determine/resolve and will require troubelshooting.

    Wandi,

Check your disk space on the target server. I believe the MSI installer is failing since it is running out of HD space. Are you installing the agent to a local drive or a SAN drive or somekind of share?

I have similar problem, a windows installer message pop up when running agent.exe. Had tried upgrading the windows installer from v.3.1 to v4.5. The same agent.exe was use to install on other server without any problem. Anyone else has same experience ?

    Windows 2003
    SCSP5.1
    Windows installer 3.1, 4.5
