  • 1.  Failed backup stuck in "In Progress" status

    Posted Jan 02, 2013 02:26 PM

I've been out of the office for several days for the holidays.  I was welcomed back by a non functioning Universal Server this morning.  The issue may have started with a scheduled backup.  The file "messages" in /var/log grew to 33GB consuming the remaining disk space.  The disk space issues have been resolved and the server is running however under backups, the server thinks its still in the process of backing up (screen shot attached).

The page continually refreshes and the "Backup now" button is greyed out.  I fear that the next scheduled backup will not happen.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?  Hopefully its an easy fix without having to open a case.

Here is a link to fixing the issue. It requires SSH access and you can modify the backup process in the database. If you are not familiar with how to do this please contact Technical Support at https://support.broadcom.com and open a ticket. We can assist you in this process.,

    Thank you Brian.

I figured the information was stuffed in the DB somewhere.  The issue seems to have resolved itself though.  When I checked on the server this morning, the scheduled nightly backup had successfully run and "stuck" backup was already gone.

    Thanks again.
