While loging in to sepm console  I get the following message:
Failed to connect to the server.
Make sure that the server is running and your session has not timed out.
If you can reach the server but cannot log on, make sure that you provided the correct parameters.
If you are experiencing network issues, contact your system administrator.

I have tried running the "Management Server Configuration Wizard" but that doesn't change the result.

I have tried running the "resetpassword.bat" but that doesn't change the result

You would probably get a better response by posting this in the Endpoint Protection section...but are you having trouble logging into the console both from there server AND via the web interface?

    Hi,

Please check that the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and the Symantec Embedded Database services are running.

If the services are already running, check the following articles:

Unable to Logon to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager. Error: "Failed to connect to the server, Verify that server name and port are correct". http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH102769

    and

Not able to login to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console after Upgrading to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH104746

    Best regards,

    Shulk.

If the above mentioned posts do not help you attach the scm server 0 logs and also catalina.out logs.

You would be able to find them under : Drive\program files\symantec\symantec endpoint protection manager\tomcat\logs.

Also share the with us which version of SEPM are you using? and the number of clients that you have and the type of Database in use?

I have had this in the past and a reboot of the SEPM server resolved the issue on most cases.  If that did not fix it, I made sure the SQL Server that holds the SQL SEPM DB is online as well (if you are running a SQL DB)
