Failed to copy the eXpress Client service to....
While going through the log viewer in NS 6 (SP3+R10), I noticed A LOT of these warnings:
Log File Name: C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Logs\a.log
Priority: 2
Date: 4/9/2009 12:23:11 PM
Tick Count: 1760902032
Host Name: <Server>
Process: aexsvc.exe (7004)
Thread ID: 9496
Module: AltirisNativeHelper.dll
Source: Altiris.NS.Utilities.RemoteServiceMgr
Description: Failed to copy the eXpress Client service to \\<Workstation>\ADMIN$\AeXSWDInstSvc.exe. Error:The network path was not found.
This type of failure can occur if a client push is currently in progress or has completed but some files are still locked. This problem can typically be solved by rebooting the computer
The problem is, these computers don't have the client installed and aren't even in commision any longer. Anyone have a suggestion on where these records might be stored so I can remove them abd is there a process to avoid this in the future?
Thanks in advance.

The mapping \\clientname\ADMIN$ does not exist, so that cuases the problem.
Somewhere on the NS you should change the path to \\clientname\C$
I hope this helps.

It sounds like you are doing a discovery and automatic agent push\roll-out. So, depending on the situation, you may have what Erik mentioned, the admin share doesn't exist (which is typically caused by simple file sharing being enabled, or a GPO).
If the machines don't exist, the discovery still found the machines, and they are most likely listed in the All Windows NT\2000\XP\Vista\2003.... with NO Altiris Agent. If enabled with the default settings, the automatic agent roll-out will keep trying to push the install to machines in that collection.
So, are you doing a discovery and\or automatic agent push?
or
Is simple file sharing enabled?
