I am having an issue exporting the client install package for Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.4013.4013 for WIN32BIT. I recently upgraded my SEPM server to version 12.1.4013.4013 and I have successfully exported client install packages for Mac and Windows 64bit. When I export the client install package for Windows 32bit I receive the error Failed to export client install package for group Default Group. Try again later. I have tried running the setup for SEP 12.1.4013.4013 again and running the upgrade.bat. Neither of these worked. When I right-click on the client install package for Windows 32bit and go to Properties it shows the size as 58.19 MB (see SEP12.1.4x32 attachment) and when I view the properties for the Windows 64bit client install package it shows the size as 325.51 MB (see SEP12.1.4x64 attachment). So, I don't know if the Windows 32bit client install package is corrupted or what. How can I export the client install package for Windows 32bit? Thank you.

the 32 bit package size is not correct.

Support has a tool you can use to remove corrupt packages, you may want to call and get it than re-import the package

Have you tried re-adding the client package to the SEPM again over the existing one?

Click on "Add a Client Install Package" in Admin > Install Packages and try the import of the package again from the SEPM install file?

    Hello,

Is this a Fresh installation of SEPM 12.1.4013.4013 OR the SEPM is migrated from the older version?

Did you try the following steps -

    • Repair the installation of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager from SEPM\setup.exe Folder.
      • Run Management Server Configuration from C:\Program Files\Symantec\ Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Bin\upgrade.bat

      Hope that helps!!

The SEPM was upgraded from a previous version. I did try running a repair of the SEPM and the upgrade.bat. I have opened a case with Symantec.

I GOT IT! I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!

The problem as seen in the screen shot was with one of the File Groups in the SQL Database. The size was already 19945 and it was set to “Restricted Growth” of 20,000. I changed it to 50,000 and it allowed me to add a package.
