    - Could not delete failed backup. Check your FTP connection settings.

    - Failed to deliver backup.

Are you seeing any connection attempts on the FTP server itself?  The logs from there will help more.

I am trying to backup to a windows 7 desktop and not a server.

I have enabled FTP from Internet Information Services but still cannot connect.

Try connecting to that Windows 7 desktop on ftp using something else first, like another PC with FileZilla.  You need to make sure the FTP server is functional first.

    Hi IT_Consultant_Intern,

After the test Alex_CST suggested, please open an SSH session to the PGP server/SEMS and use ping <IP_address_or_hostname>, telnet <IP_address_or_hostname> 21, to check if you can reach the FTP.
If you have a large backup, i.e., around 2GB or more, you may have a limitation in the FTP server.

Beside the above, please review this article:Issues configuring remote backup location FTP, SCP, for PGP Universal Server - TECH200737.
