Failed to install Symantec management agent (push)

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I cannot seem to get the management agent installed after uninstalling the agent. I unintentionally uninstalled the agent on a domain controller and I now cannot seemt to get the mangement agent to reinstall.

Any clues?

I am using DS 7.1.

What are the results you are seeing on the push?

Frankly though, if it's a single box, I'd use a pull.  There's a web-page on the policy for the agent you can run from the server and then you can "pull" the installation.  I use that all the time on small environments and/or servers with different security contexts.

Generally that's an issue with permissions as Thomas mentioned above.. With it being a domain controller, are you sure that the altiris service account has admin acces? Did you specify credentials in the manual push settings?

Performed a Domain rename and left some old data in the site list. It was causing major DNS issues.
