  • 1.  Failed Mount Linux Folder from Altiris

    Hi

     

    I have one fresh install of Altiris Express Solution (HP Insight Control 7.2) installed in W2008R2. When i boot any machine to Linux PE the agent is installed and connect to the server but failed mount the share. If i boot to WinPe i dont have any problem the agent communicate and copy the files.

     

    The error that i have: see attachment file.

    it seems a permission issue. when u installed DS did use a domain or just a workgroup?

    use the same user you installed DS and it should work.

    Hi

     

    The DS is in Workgroup.

    The user is the same and belong to administrators group.

    I think the problem is some local policy - > security options.

    try mount -t cifs //<MachineName>/<SharedFolder> /mnt/Shared -o username=<DomainName>/<username>,password=<password>

    where the DomainName is your workgroupname

    Instead of workgroupname in doimainname try to use the name of the server
