We have about 800 VM machines that over the last few months due to some issues with Altiris have failed to come back to life. I've used the Altiris Console to try and Uninstall the Agent from machines that are "broken" then re-install.
I have lots (say 80%) that i get either:
Failed to Push Altiris agent Error: 121
Failed to install 'Altiris agent installer service'
I've rebooted some machines and then re-tried as i found some machines had multiple Altiris installer servce, servcices that where marked for deletion. This has not helped and i am finding myself having to rebuild these virtual machines.
Any ideas on fixing them as the uninstall/ reinstall job is not working... ??
My only other thought is to put a DENY policy in for the Virtual machines OU and have them by GPO remove Altiris client and once this id done attempt to -redeploy by taking the DENY back out.
As you can imagine 800 Virtual machines some withvery nasty software configurations isn't much of an option for me to rebuild.
