  • 1.  Failed to push symantec management agent error -1

    I've been getting this error quite a bit for some of my machines.  What does this error mean?  The machines can ping and the necessary admin rights are given to these machines.  Thanks for any help, I can't seem to find any documents on this issue.

    Check the log on the NS, there's often more info in that.

    Hi Jellsworth,

     

    Agent Push failures can be caused by the following items:
    • The Admin$ share is not accessible.
    • Simple file sharing is enabled on XP clients.
    • DNS is not resolving names correctly.
    • Windows Firewall is enabled on the client computer (could not ping the client from the Notification Server).

    Have you checked these items?
