  • 1.  failed to push symantec management agent error 1722

    Hello, 

     

    I updated altiris 7.8 to 8.0 version. After that i wont install new version to client computer. I get following error. 

     

    "failed to push symantec management agent error 1722"

     

    Also, i want to see licenced computer. How can i see the list of computer which is using license ?

    Do you have any Site Servers? Have they fully upgraded from 7.6 to 8.0?

    If that is an MSI error you have posted, it would seem to indicate a general failure of the package.

    Do you get the same error message when installing the agent on a new machine or only when upgrading an old 7.6 machine? Presumably if upgrading an existing one this is the result of the upgrade SMA policy being turned on and then failing to upgrade the agent.

    Hello,

     

    I suspect upgrade path was from 7.6 to 8.0? Can you please clarify targer machine OS? Regarding that error is it observed in the Push grid? or was it install log on end-point side?

    We solved problem with technical support. 

     

    Its about the dns record. Before the upgrade, we just type to computer name. However, after the upgrade, we need to type computer name + domain. 

     

    For ex; Before Upgrade; KL0015 (computer name)

                After Upgrade; KL0015.example.com (computer name + domain)
