Failing to reboot client to recovery partition

I am using Solution Suite 2.5 Console to create an image from a user's machine.  I am following all the steps described in "How to Get Started in Ghost Solution Suite 2.5".  The problem arises at the end of the image creation process.  The event log states that it failed to reboot client to recovery partition.

I have not been doing this process very long as this is an upgraded software from our last ghost solution but I have had success with a couple other images.  This one has me stumped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Todd

The most common cause of this

The most common cause of this is bad network drivers.

Please tell us the PC make and model and hopefully the network card.

Also what boot OS are you useing? (PC-DOS, MS-DOS, WinPE 256, WinPE 512 or custom WinPE)

Also if you bring up the task stats, under view there should be an option to look at the error file which will have an error message in it and an error code, that will help as well.

I have all my user's machines

I have all my user's machines in Machine Groups in the Ghost Console.  I selected the user's machine from the list and developed a task.  I did not go the the boot wizard to create an image.

Dell e6400

I'm having the same problem with a Dell e6400.

I'm using the winpe-512 and i've loaded the latest NIC drivers for the Intel 82567LM network card the laptops are using.

A few things

@Todd P.

If your not sure what pre-os your useing ot how to add network drivers then you need to read the manual. I know it's big and it sucks but this is an enterprise solution and very in depth.

I'm very sure the problem is the same as Naxet's, please see what I say to him and if you have any questions please read the manual first then ask here.

@naxet

A few things, 1. Make sure you have ran all 3 live updates. Your ghost explorer (not the console, not the boot wizard) should say version 11.5.0.2165. If it does not keep running the Live update.

2nd, make sure you are useing the 32bit Vista drivers. I think the last time I helped someone with a problem like this they were useing 64 bit drivers. The reason for this is WinPE is based on 32bit vista, and it doesn't matter what OS is installed.

@both

Please see the following two blogs:

Thanks

I'm an idiot the first thing I noticed about the WINPE is it was Vista but I never made the association about installing Vista drivers.
